Devil´s Path

While the senators encounter the lakeside and the houses of God, the jaycees will face the challenges of Sastamala’s Pirunvuori (Devil’s mountain in English!) walking paths. Pirunvuori is a popular outing and hiking area in Sastamala, and located next to hotel Vuorihotelli in Ellivuori. The paths are wide and quite easy to walk, but sometimes rocky and slippery, so a good pair of sneakers is a must. The panoramic view from the top of the mountain is worth the effort, and the hikers will be rewarded with pic-nic lunch and traditional, open fire brewed coffee out in the open. The nature of Sastamala region has improvised numerous painters in the past. Thus, a visit to painter Emil Danielsson’s (1882-1967) atelier at Pirunvuori is also possible to include to the trip.
